Learn moreNew or Used Cryogenic Tank? We Will Tell You Honestly
Most suppliers can only sell what they build. Because KAF Cryogenics works in both channels, new fabrication and certified used equipment, our recommendation follows your requirement and your timeline, not our production schedule.
New cryogenic equipment, built to your specification
Manufactured by KAF Cryogenics to your specification and to the code your market requires: PED 2014/68/EU with CE marking for Europe, ASME Section VIII where that code applies, plus EN 13458, EN 13530 and AD 2000 as relevant. The right choice when the requirement is specific, the timeline allows production and the equipment will run for decades.
Certified used equipment, inspected and documented
Used tanks, trailers and vaporizers that have passed visual and dimensional inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT) and vacuum and pressure testing before they are offered. Every unit ships with its inspection report, test results, available material certificates and a written warranty. If a unit cannot be documented, we do not sell it.
Learn moreWhy Buyers Choose KAF Cryogenics as Their Equipment Supplier
Delivery in weeks, not months
A failed tank or a new contract cannot wait in a fabrication queue for months. Stock units and certified used equipment ship in weeks. We state the delivery window in the offer, in writing.
Documents before promises
Capacity, design pressure, material certificates, test reports and conformity documents are on the table before you commit. No documentation, no sale.
Two channels, one honest answer
KAF Cryogenics earns on both new and used equipment, so there is no commercial reason to push you toward either one. The recommendation follows your case, your budget and your timeline.
We buy used equipment and accept trade-ins
We purchase your idle cryogenic and gas equipment or take it in trade against a new order. Your old tank becomes cash or a discount instead of scrap in the yard.
Manufactured and Certified to PED, ASME, EN and ISO Standards
KAF Cryogenics manufactures and inspects to the codes international buyers require. The applicable code depends on your destination market, and we build to the one your project needs.
- PED 2014/68/EU, pressure equipment directive with CE marking for the European market
- ASME Section VIII, pressure vessel code for markets that require it
- EN 13458, static vacuum insulated cryogenic vessels
- EN 13530, transportable cryogenic vessels
- AD 2000, German pressure vessel code
- ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management
- ISO 3834-2, comprehensive quality requirements for welding
Certificates and test reports are supplied with every unit, new or used.
Cryogenic Equipment Supplied from Türkiye to Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia
KAF Cryogenics is based in Istanbul, Türkiye, and supplies cryogenic and pressurized gas equipment to buyers across Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. We arrange transport and support customs documentation where needed. Türkiye's location and manufacturing base allow shorter transport times to these regions than sourcing from Asia or North America.
We Buy Used Cryogenic Tanks and Accept Trade-Ins
Your idle tank is worth money.
KAF Cryogenics buys used cryogenic and gas equipment outright and accepts trade-ins against new orders. Send the basic specification and photographs, and you will receive an appraisal within five working days. Appraisal is based on your documents and photographs first, then on physical inspection.
Frequently Asked Questions About Buying Cryogenic Equipment
Is used cryogenic equipment safe to buy?
Yes, when it is properly inspected and documented. Every used unit KAF Cryogenics sells passes visual and dimensional inspection, non-destructive testing and vacuum performance checks before it is listed. You receive the inspection report, test results and available material certificates with the offer, plus a written warranty. If a unit cannot be documented, we do not sell it.
How fast can you deliver a cryogenic tank?
Stock and certified used units typically ship within weeks, depending on preparation and transport. New fabrication follows the standard industry timeline of several months. The delivery window is stated in the offer, in writing.
Which gases and equipment do you cover?
Storage tanks, semi-trailers, bobtails, truck-mounted tanks, ISO tank containers, ambient vaporizers and process equipment for liquid nitrogen, oxygen and argon (LIN, LOX, LAR), LNG, liquid CO2 (LCO2) and LPG.
Do you buy used cryogenic equipment?
Yes. KAF Cryogenics purchases used tanks, trailers and vaporizers outright and accepts trade-ins against new orders. Appraisal is based on your documents and photographs first, then physical inspection, and takes up to five working days.
Where do you deliver?
Türkiye, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. We arrange transport and support customs documentation where needed.
Do you supply tanks certified to ASME or PED?
Both. PED 2014/68/EU with CE marking applies in the European market, while ASME Section VIII applies in markets that require it. The correct code depends on your destination market, not on quality, and we build to the one your project needs.
What is the boil-off rate of a cryogenic storage tank?
For modern vacuum insulated stationary tanks the static evaporation rate is typically in the range of 0.2 to 0.6 percent per day, depending on tank size, insulation condition and vacuum quality. A rising boil-off rate is usually the first sign of vacuum degradation.
Do used units come with a valid ADR inspection?
Used road tankers and trailers are offered with their documentation, including the ADR inspection status and next due date. The remaining validity is stated in the offer so you know exactly what you are buying.
