Industry Reports & Guidance
Technical guidance and statistics from the organisations that set practice in industrial gases, summarised for people who specify and operate equipment.
Each entry gives the document reference, what it covers, the points that matter most, and what it means when you are choosing or operating cryogenic and liquefied gas equipment. We link to the publisher so you can read the original.
EIGA · Doc 66/22Refrigerated CO2 Storage at Users' Premises
EIGA Doc 66/22 is the European Industrial Gases Association code of practice for refrigerated liquid carbon dioxide stored at the premises of the user rather than at a production plant. It replaces the 2008 edition and was prepared by EIGA working group WG-6 on cryogenic vessels.

EIGA · TB 64/26Manufacturing and Inspection of Liquid CO2 Trailers
EIGA Technical Bulletin TB 64/26, issued in July 2026 by working group WG-6, addresses a specific manufacturing trend in liquid carbon dioxide road tankers. These tankers are normally non-vacuum vessels insulated with foam, built under ADR 6.8.2.6.1 which refers to EN 14398-2 for large transportable non-vacuum insulated cryogenic vessels.

EIGA · Doc 126/20Minimum Specifications for Food Gas Applications
EIGA Doc 126/20 sets out minimum specifications for all gases approved for use as food additives and for gases used in other food applications. It was prepared by EIGA working group WG-8 on food gases and carbon dioxide, and revises the 2018 edition.

EIGA · Doc 125/20Guide to the Supply of Gases for Use in Foods
EIGA Doc 125/20 is the companion to the specification document: where Doc 126 says what a food gas has to be, Doc 125 addresses how it is produced, held and delivered without losing that status.

EIGA · Doc 111/23Environmental Impacts of CO2 and Dry Ice Production
EIGA Doc 111/23 looks at carbon dioxide and dry ice production from the environmental side rather than the safety side. It revises the 2016 edition and is aimed at plant operators who need a formal environmental management system that a third party verifier can certify.

AFGC / EIGA · Doc 56/09Driver Guide for CO2 Tanker Transport
Doc 56/09 is a training manual for drivers who transport carbon dioxide in road tankers, published in French by AFGC from the EIGA document. It exists because the most consequential part of the work is not the driving: it is the transfer of carbon dioxide between the transport tanker and the storage vessels at plants, at other suppliers and at customer sites.
