LCO2 Semi trailers
KAF Cryogenics supplies LCO2 semi-trailers for bulk liquid carbon dioxide distribution and industrial supply. Vacuum-insulated and PIR / PUR-insulated designs are selected for journey conditions, thermal performance, payload and loading and discharge requirements.
Transport Duty and Payload
Provide loading temperature and pressure, route, journey duration, road limits and the receiving installation. Capacity, usable filling volume, tare, payload and pressure rating are established for the transport model.
Vacuum insulation and PIR / PUR insulation use different vessel and insulation arrangements. Compare thermal performance, weight, maintenance and inspection requirements against the intended route and operating cycle. These transportable tank units are reviewed for the intended road tanker duty, including the route and receiving installation.
Loading, Discharge and Pressure Control
Pumps, flowmeters, hoses, couplings and instrumentation can be included according to the transfer duty. Pressure-building or refrigeration equipment is specified where the transport and standing conditions require it.
Applicable tank and vehicle approvals, inspection status, documentation and destination requirements are reviewed for the proposed unit. Storage tank capacity and pressure ranges are not used to specify a road tanker.
New and Used Equipment
New semi-trailers and selected used units can be considered for the required capacity and configuration. Used equipment condition, available records and current sale status are confirmed individually.

The stated ranges describe the equipment portfolio. Capacity, pressure, materials and documentation are confirmed together for the selected model and project.
Configuration Comparison
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Criteria | Vacuum-Insulated |
| Construction | Insulated vacuum space |
| Thermal selection | Evaluate the proposed model heat load |
| Maintenance review | Vacuum condition and associated components |
| Refrigeration | Specified if required by the duty |
| Transport selection | Capacity, payload, journey and pressure control reviewed |
Standard Model Capacities and Pressure Options
Standard nominal capacities of 24.5, 25, 27 and 29 m³ are available in both the cryogenic vacuum-insulated and PIR / PUR-insulated semi-trailer groups. Pressure options are 23 bar or 24 bar, according to the model. Nominal tank capacity does not establish usable filling volume, payload or tare. The approved vehicle configuration defines those transport characteristics.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between vacuum and PIR / PUR trailers?
The insulation construction and maintenance requirements differ. Compare the offered models for the intended route and operating duty.
Is refrigeration required on every LCO2 Semi trailer?
Refrigeration requirements depend on the thermal load, route and standing conditions. The pressure-control arrangement is selected for the transport duty.
What capacity can you supply?
Standard nominal capacities are 24.5, 25, 27 and 29 m³ in both insulation groups, with 23 bar or 24 bar pressure options according to the model. Usable filling volume and payload are determined separately for the approved transport configuration.
Can used LCO2 Semi trailers be considered?
Yes, subject to current unit availability, condition and documentation.
