LPG Semi trailers
KAF Cryogenics supplies LPG semi-trailers for bulk road distribution. These transportable tank units are selected for the specified propane or butane service, tank capacity, legal payload, loading and unloading duty and destination requirements. The tanker and vehicle configuration is reviewed as one transport application.
Tank Capacity and Vehicle Configuration
Standard LPG semi-trailer nominal capacities are 45, 47, 48.5, 50, 55, 57, 62.2 and 65 m³. Usable filling volume, payload, tare, axle loading, dimensions and pressure rating are established for the selected approved vehicle configuration.
Loading, Discharge and Route Requirements
Provide the loading point, receiving installation, delivery flow and unloading conditions. Pumps, meters, valves, hoses and connections are selected for the transfer duty. Road mass and dimensional limits, tractor interfaces and destination requirements are reviewed for the intended tanker route. Truck-mounted delivery requirements are handled separately through the LPG Bobtail Tankers page.
Approvals and Equipment Records
Applicable tank and vehicle approvals, inspection status and technical documents are identified for the destination and equipment category. Stationary LPG storage tank standards do not replace transport approvals. New equipment and selected used semi-trailers can be reviewed; unit condition, available records and current availability are confirmed individually.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is an LPG Semi trailer selected?
Specify the LPG composition, target tank capacity, payload, route, unloading duty and destination. The tank and vehicle configuration are reviewed together.
Do all nominal capacities use the same vehicle configuration?
No. Nominal tank capacity, axle arrangement, discharge package and road requirements are reviewed together for the selected semi-trailer. A nominal capacity does not determine payload or usable filling volume.
Is a bobtail tanker the same as a Semi trailer?
No. A bobtail tanker is a truck-mounted delivery configuration; a semi-trailer is a separate trailer unit coupled to a tractor. They are reviewed as separate equipment types.
Can used LPG Semi trailers be considered?
Yes. Selected used units can be reviewed against availability, condition, inspection status and available documents.
