KAF Cryogenics supplies stationary and transportable cryogenic tanks for LIN, LOX and LAR, built as double-walled, vacuum-insulated pressure vessels with an austenitic stainless steel inner vessel (typically grade 304L to EN 10028-7) and a carbon steel outer jacket, insulated with perlite in the vacuum space. Cold-stretched inner vessels are used on medium- and high-pressure models to optimize wall thickness while maintaining code compliance. Standard stationary capacities range up to 1,000 m³, with MAWP options from 3 to 37 bar in accordance with EN 13458 and the applicable requirements of the EU Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU, PED); AD 2000 Code and ASME Section VIII Division 1 are applied where the project or destination requires them. Each tank is fitted with a flow-diverter valve and dual pressure relief valves as standard, with provisions for level and pressure transmitters and remote telemetry where specified.

Tank orientation, insulation arrangement, connections and instrumentation are configured to the stored medium and site conditions. Vertical tanks are supplied on a four-leg support arrangement for ease of lifting and low-cost erection, while horizontal tanks are supplied with saddle supports for sites where headroom or footprint is constrained. Inner vessels intended for oxygen service are cleaned and prepared in accordance with EN 12300 to remove hydrocarbon residues before commissioning, and the normal evaporation rate (boil-off) is confirmed for the specific capacity and insulation package at the design stage.

Transportable equipment is available in standard capacities from 5 to 56 m³, engineered to EN 13530 and, where the unit will move by road, to ADR and TPED requirements. Vacuum-insulated semi-trailers and truck-mounted tanks are fitted with vacuum-jacketed piping and cryogenic valves to keep in-transit boil-off to a minimum, and 20 ft or 40 ft ISO container configurations can be provided for intermodal transport by road, rail or sea.
