Cryogenic Semi trailers for LIN / LOX / LAR
KAF Cryogenics supplies cryogenic semi-trailers for the road distribution of liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen and liquid argon. Vacuum-insulated tank construction and cryogenic transfer equipment are configured for the gas, loading conditions, route and unloading duty.
Tank and Vehicle Configuration
Capacity, payload, tank pressure rating, tare, axle arrangement and chassis requirements are considered together. The equipment is selected to meet the operating duty and applicable road mass and dimensional limits at the destination. These transportable tank units are reviewed for the intended road tanker duty, including the route and receiving installation.
Vacuum Insulation and Transfer Equipment
A double-walled vacuum-insulated vessel limits heat ingress during transport. Vacuum-jacketed piping, cryogenic valves and the required loading and discharge connections are specified for the selected model. Pump discharge or pressure transfer equipment is defined by the receiving installation.
Liquid oxygen requires oxygen-compatible materials and cleaning. Liquid nitrogen and liquid argon duties are specified from the relevant filling, storage and discharge conditions. Multi-product use is considered only where the design, approvals and operating procedures permit it.
Transport Standards and Documentation
Transportable cryogenic equipment is reviewed with applicable EN 13530, ADR and TPED requirements according to the tank category and destination. Tank approval, inspection records and vehicle documentation are identified within the supplied scope.
New equipment is specified for the intended fleet duty. Selected used trailers and rental requirements can also be reviewed against unit availability, condition and documentation.

Capacity and Transport Configuration
The nominal capacity range for LIN / LOX / LAR is LIN: 5–35 m³; LOX: 5–25 m³; LAR: 5–20 m³. The semi-trailer is configured for the selected gas, loading and unloading duty and destination road requirements. The tank, discharge package and chassis are reviewed together for the intended tanker application.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can one trailer carry LIN, LOX and LAR?
Multi-product use is considered only where the approved design, cleanliness and operating procedures permit it. Do not assume interchangeability.
What information is needed to select trailer capacity?
Provide the target nominal capacity, payload, medium, route and road limits. Tank capacity and pressure are confirmed for the selected semi-trailer model.
Are pump and metering packages included?
They are selected according to unloading duty and are included only when stated in the quotation.
Can you review ADR and TPED requirements?
Yes. Share the destination and specification so the applicable requirements and documentation can be identified.
Are used cryogenic trailers available?
Selected used trailers can be reviewed against current availability, condition and approval records.
