Liquid Oxygen Storage Tanks
KAF Cryogenics supplies liquid oxygen storage tanks for industrial oxygen supply, metal processing and other specified oxygen applications. Tanks are configured for the storage duty, oxygen-compatible materials, required cleanliness and downstream connections.
Capacity and Pressure Selection
The LIN/LOX/LAR stationary range includes capacities up to 1,000 m³ and MAWP options from 3 to 37 bar. The available oxygen tank combination is selected for demand, delivery frequency, operating reserve and the proposed model.
Inner vessels and wetted components require materials and cleaning suitable for oxygen service. EN 12300 is a relevant cleaning reference. Cleaning records and service requirements are specified for the supplied equipment.
Storage and Vaporizer Interfaces
Vacuum-insulated tanks support liquid withdrawal or gaseous oxygen supply with an appropriately sized vaporizer. Required gas flow, pressure, site conditions and downstream interfaces are reviewed with the storage specification.
The inquiry should identify the intended application and oxygen product specification. Healthcare projects require the appropriate medical gas specification and downstream system requirements to be addressed separately from the tank supply.
Orientation and Documentation
Vertical or horizontal configuration, supports, filling connections, pressure protection and instrumentation are selected for the installation. Datasheets, drawings, material records, cleaning and test documentation are defined in the supply scope.
Equipment Specification Overview
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Medium | Liquid oxygen (LOX) |
| Nominal capacity | Up to 1,000 m³; model-specific capacity and pressure combination |
| MAWP | 3–37 bar across the range; standard 18 bar and 37 bar series where specified |
| Design temperature | −196°C |
| Orientation | Vertical or horizontal |
| Insulation | Perlite and vacuum |
| Inner vessel | Austenitic stainless steel to the approved specification |
| Design references | EN 13458; ASME where specified |
| Documentation | Certification, CE marking and ASME U stamping are provided only where specified and applicable to the selected equipment and manufacturer. |
| Options | Level and pressure instruments, telemetry and project-specific connections |
The stated ranges describe the equipment portfolio. Capacity, pressure, materials and documentation are confirmed together for the selected model and project.
Frequently Asked Questions
What tank capacity should I request?
State consumption, delivery frequency and operating reserve alongside any target capacity. The offered model is confirmed for LOX service.
Can you coordinate a tank and vaporizer?
Yes. Provide the required gas flow, outlet pressure, operating schedule and site conditions.
Are all portfolio capacities available for this gas?
The family range is not a guarantee of every capacity and pressure combination. Model availability and suitability are confirmed in the offer.
Are used tanks available?
Selected used tanks can be reviewed with their service history, condition and documents. Gas suitability and availability are confirmed per unit.
